How Much Do Solar Panels Cost in California in 2026?
Updated September 14, 2026
To compare solar prices in 2026, start with written installation quotes and a clear list of what each includes. A single statewide after-incentive price can hide differences in equipment, roof work, storage and financing.
What to compare
- Cash price and financing terms, separately.
- Panel and inverter specifications, system size and expected production.
- Battery costs and whether storage is included in the savings scenario.
- Roof, electrical and permit work included in the quote.
- Only incentives that have been checked for this customer and installation.
